Olatunbosun Obayomi is a Microbiologist and Inventor from Lagos, Nigeria. Olatunbosun’s work includes designing biohydrogen reactors, anaerobic reactors, photo bioreactors and microbial fuel cells. A graduate of Microbiology from Olabisi Onabanjo University. He is the founder of BioApplications Initiative in Lagos, which focuses on urban wastewater management using anaerobic digestion technology coupled with algae oxidation. Olatunbosun is a circular and blue Economy enthusiast .He shares a vision of how Lagos City could become a circular city using circular wastewater management systems.
He is a global outreach member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). He was a BMWGuggenheim Lab team member for New York City. He is also a TED fellow. His efforts have been celebrated in Nigeria as well; he was honored with the Nigerian Youth leadership award, presented by LEAP Africa. He has received media coverage in National newspapers and NTA Network News and International coverage by CNN News Network.
