Student Researcher @ MIT Media Lab (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
Ari Xie is an undergraduate researcher at MIT, studying computer science. They are particularly interested in making outstanding healthcare accessible to minorities. At MIT, they're currently involved in creating low-cost biotechnologies for schools and individuals who may not have the capital to invest in higher-cost machines. In addition, Xie is creating an open source microfluidic website, where individuals can contribute and download individual microfluidic parts, as part of a greater DIY fluidic community. Xie's hobbies include sports, writing, art, and music. They are always looking for ways to find the intersection between science, art, and social justice.
