Lab Manager/ Sculpting Evolution Group
Sarah is a maker, scientist, radio producer, writer, science communicator, and artist! She is currently the lab manager of the Sculpting Evolution group at the MIT Media Lab.
Her background includes experience in human computer interaction, DNA sequencing technology, 3D printing, sewing, and large art installations. She delight in the intersection of technology, art, and human interaction!
She graduated from Scripps College in 2013 with a degree in molecular biology and computer science. Afterwards, she spent some time traveling, dogsledding, and working for the forest service before becoming the founding member and lab manager of the Adey lab at OHSU. After a few stellar years developing next gen sequencing tech, she left the lab to freelance and explore personal projects before landing in her current role at the Media Lab.
