Vesta Korniakova

Bricobio member and MSc Student, Applied Microbiology, INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier Research Centre (Montreal, Canada)

Vesta is a member of Bricobio, a community biology lab in Montreal, and is also an MSc student in Applied Microbiology at the INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier Research Centre. Her main research focuses on gene regulation in bacteria via structured non-coding RNA parts. She is interested in exploiting structured nucleic acids as tools for gene regulation and biosensing in diverse organisms and environments as well as other synthetic biology applications. Besides biology, she is also interested in new technologies and tools enabling collaboration, sharing and creativity between innovators from community, academia and industry.
